Bryn and Gelli Panel Installation
Wednesday, 14th January, 2015 was a very cold, wet, and windy day. It was the day when the Bryn and Gelli Interpretive Panel was installed. This illustrated panel reflects some of the historical aspects of that district of Llanelli as compiled by the community of that historic gateway into the town.Funded by the Llanelli Rural Council, research for the panel was led by the local historian, Byron Davies who turned up some interesting snippets of the forgotten past of the area.
LCH give a big thank you to the men of Tumble Forge who installed the panel during very inclement weather on that day and worked into the darkness of the evening to complete the task. Our thanks also go to Mr John Hughes who completed the complex planning issues and Councillor Sharen Davies, who gave us full support for this fascinating project.
